Terms of Use

Draft

This text is a structured draft. It must be reviewed and approved before the site goes public. It is not legal advice.

These terms apply to the Papira app and to papira.app. Papira is made by Toralle Lda. By using Papira you agree to what follows.

What Papira is — and what it is not

Papira is a personal organisation tool. It helps you record documents, renewal details and dates, and reminds you about them.

Papira is not:

  • an official body, a government service or a representative of any authority;
  • a legal, immigration, tax or financial advice service;
  • a document renewal service — it never applies for, submits or renews anything on your behalf;
  • a verification service — it does not check whether a document is genuine, valid or accepted anywhere;
  • a compliance guarantee — it cannot tell you whether you meet any country's requirements.

Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Your phone's operating system decides when background work runs; battery savers, forced-stop and permission changes can delay or suppress a notification. Keep your own eye on anything that genuinely matters.

Your content is yours

You keep all rights to whatever you put into Papira. We claim nothing over it, and we do not have it — it is stored encrypted on your device.

You are responsible for that content: for having the right to store it, for keeping your device and PIN secure, and for making backups. Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover your data if you lose your device, forget your backup password, or delete something by accident.

Acceptable use

  • Use Papira for your own documents and those of people you are genuinely responsible for.
  • Do not use Papira to store or produce forged, stolen or unlawful material.
  • Do not attempt to break, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app's security, or with our servers.
  • Respect the privacy of anyone whose documents you add.

Plans, purchases and subscriptions

Papira has a free plan and paid annual plans. All purchases and subscriptions are made through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms. They handle the payment, the receipt, the renewal and the cancellation — we never see your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through the store before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy.

Prices shown on this website are annual reference prices in EUR and may vary by country and store.

If a subscription ends, the information you already created stays accessible, editable, exportable and included in your backup. Creating new items beyond your active plan's allowance is paused until you renew or change plan.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Papira available and correct, but we provide it as it is. Features may change, and some may be added, altered or withdrawn as the app develops. Where a change materially reduces something you paid for, we will say so.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Toralle Lda is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Papira — including a missed deadline, an expired document, or a decision taken by any third party. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
