FAQ
Questions people ask before they trust an app with this
Is Papira available on Android?
Yes, on Google Play. The iPhone version is not available yet.
Do my documents leave my phone?
The documents, attachments and family details you add are stored encrypted on your device. Papira does not sell or send their contents to our servers. Separate technical connections may exist for things you choose — the app stores, the official links you open, the backup you create or the sharing you start — and, on the free plan, for advertising, which never receives the contents of your documents. It is all described in the Privacy Policy.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use Papira without creating an account.
Can I add a document that is not listed?
Yes. Create a custom document and choose the fields, dates and reminders that make sense for you.
What about documents that never expire?
Mark them as “No expiry”. They stay organised without ever appearing as overdue.
Can I store photos and PDFs?
Yes. Add front and back images, multi-page documents and PDFs from your device, or share a selected file into Papira from another app.
What is the difference between Individual Plus, Family and Professional?
Individual Plus is for one person: your own profile, with unlimited documents, country contexts and full dossiers. To organise documents for more people, the Family plan allows up to 8 profiles. If you also need to organise documents for companies or organisations, the Professional plan adds up to 8.
I have documents from different countries. Can I use Papira?
Yes. Everyone can create documents for any country. Individual Plus and Family add organised country contexts, such as country of origin and current residence. Papira does not provide immigration or legal advice.
Can I send documents through WhatsApp or email?
You'll be able to prepare a dossier, review what goes in, and then use your own phone's share sheet — WhatsApp appears there only if it's installed. Papira never sends files automatically.
What happens when I renew a document?
Create a new version from the existing document. You can keep the previous version in your history or remove it after confirming.
How do I move to a new phone?
Create an encrypted backup and restore it on the new phone using your backup password. This is a manual transfer that you start — not automatic cloud sync.
What happens after my subscription ends?
Your existing information remains accessible, editable, exportable and included in your backup. Creating new items above your active plan’s allowance is paused until you renew or change plan.
